How do I add my team, and give them their own login?

"Team" means two things in Suddenly Sorted, and they live in two places. Who customers can book with is set under Services & team; who can sign in to help run the desk is set under Who can sign in. Add someone to the first so Sally can book them, and invite them to the second only if they need the dashboard.

Where it lives

Bookable people are under SettingsYour businessServices & team. Each person has a name, a photo and short bio for your booking page, and a list of the services they do. Logins are under SettingsAccountWho can sign in: how many seats your plan includes, who holds one, and the invite box. Keeping the two apart means you can put a contractor on the booking page without giving them your dashboard, and give a receptionist the dashboard without customers being able to book her.

Add someone customers can book

  1. Open Services & team and add the person

Give them a name, and a photo and one-line bio if you like. Both show on your booking page, which noticeably lifts trust with new customers.

  2. Decide what they do

Everyone starts with Does all services on. Switch it off to pick from the service chips; tap each one this person performs.

You'll see: Sally and the booking page only offer this person for those services, and never show their times for a service they don't do.
  3. Save changes

Their hours follow your opening hours unless you set a personal roster. Someone off sick? Mark them out from the calendar and reassign their day in one pass.

Give someone a login

  1. Open Who can sign in and type their email

Add their first name if you like, then Send invite. The card shows how many logins your plan includes: 1 on Free and Starter, 5 on Growth, unlimited on Pro.

  2. They accept from the email

They click the link, enter their email and get a one-time code. No password to create or remember. Every login is its own; nobody shares yours.

You'll see: them listed as Staff with a Remove link beside their name.
  3. Promote, or remove, from the same list

You can make a staff login an Owner, or step an owner back to staff; there must always be at least one owner. Remove is instant, even if they're signed in right now, so do it the day someone leaves.

What a staff login can see

Staff canOnly the owner can
See the calendar and bookingsChange the plan, card and billing
Confirm, cancel and rescheduleConnect Google Calendar and Instagram
Add bookings and block off timeEdit branding, the widget and Sally's voice
Reply in the inbox and follow upInvite, promote or remove logins
Honest by designThere are two roles, owner and staff, and that's it for now. If you need a manager who can change settings but not billing, make them an owner and keep the card details with Stripe, where no login can read them.
Plan noteBookable team members are unlimited on every plan. Extra logins need Growth (5) or Pro (unlimited); on Growth, inviting a sixth person prompts an upgrade. Compare plans.

Common questions

I added someone to Services & team but they can't sign in

That's expected. Being bookable and having a login are separate. Invite them under Who can sign in if they need the dashboard.

Do I need a login for a contractor who rents a chair?

Only if they'll manage bookings themselves. Add them under Services & team so customers can book them, and leave the login out; you stay in control of the desk.

The invite email didn't arrive

Ask them to check junk, and confirm the address you typed. You can resend from the list. Invites expire after a few days, so send a fresh one if it's been a while.

Still stuck on this?

Tell us the person's email and which list you're trying to add them to. We'll check the seat count and the invite.
